Escravo Mina, 1864

Description

Photograph taken from Christiano Junior. The subject's name, place of birth and time of arrival to Brazil was not recorded. However, the scarifications suggest Oyo affiliation, and it is conceivable this individual arrived to Brazil as a child in the late-1820s and early 1830s, suggesting he was involved in Oyo's collapse.
