This Brazilian Schooner, Destemida, left Bahia on 15 January 1830 and purchased 61 enslaved people at Ouidah (no date recorded). The undocumented captain sailed the vessel toward Brazil when the British captured the vessel somewhere off the coast of Brazil. The British and Brazilian Court of Mixed Commission, Rio de Janeiro condemned this vessel and registered 50 Liberated Africans, or libertos, by 21 December 1830. For more information, see Map of 1830.
