The Portuguese Schooner-brig, Atrevido, left Bahia in 1833 and purchased 455 enslaved people at Ouidah by 3 November 1833. The captain, João Garcia, sailed the vessel toward Brazil as intended, when it likely landed in Bahia on 28 November 1833. Only 407 people survived the Middle Passage.
