The Portuguese schooner, Josefina, left an unspecified port in 1835 and purchased 307 enslaved people at an unspecified port in the Bight of Benin (no date recorded). The undocumented captain sailed the vessel toward Brazil, when it likely landed in Bahia on 25 December 1835. Only 277 people survived the Middle Passage. For more information, see Map of 1835.
