The Portuguese brigantine, Clarita, left Cuba on5 June 1836 and purchased 381 enslaved people at Ouidah (no date recorded). The captain, Juan Jose del Villar, sailed the vessel toward Cuba, when it likely landed in Havana on 21 March 1836. Only 300 people survived the Middle Passage. For more information, see Map of 1836.
