Carlota (a) Mosquito (1836)

Voyage Overview

The Portuguese schooner, Carlota (a) Mosquito, left the Gulf of Guinea islands in 1836 and purchased 208 enslaved people at Ouidah (no date recorded). The captain, Miguel Paulo, sailed the vessel toward the Caribbean, when it likely landed in British Honduras on 10 December 1836. Only 203 people survived the Middle Passage.
