The Brazilian Smack, Sacramento, left Bahia (no date recorded) and purchased 198 enslaved people at Lagos (no date recorded). The captain, José Joaquim Veloso, sailed the vessel back toward Brazil as intended, when it likely landed at São Salvador da Bahia on 14 July 1822. Only 185 people survived the Middle Passage.
