Gomba (1822)

Voyage Overview

The Portuguese vessel, Gomba, left Bahia and purchased 324 enslaved people at Lagos. The undocumented captain sailed the vessel, owned by Domingos José de Almeida, to Sierra Leone in 1822 (no dates recorded). Only 300 people survived the Middle Passage. For more information, see Map of 1822.
