The Brazilian vessel, Netuno, left Bahia and purchased 299 enslaved people at Lagos (no dates recorded). The undocumented captain sailed the vessel, owned by M. A. Alguier, back toward Brazil (no date recorded). Only 277 people survived the Middle Passage. For more information, see Map of 1822.
