The Portuguese vessel, Empreendedor, left Bahia in 1835 and purchased 352 enslaved people at Ouidah (no date recorded). The undocumented captain sailed the vessel toward Brazil, when it likely landed in Bahia on 21 May 1836. Only 325 people survived the Middle Passage. For more information, see Map of 1836.
