Levrette (1820)

Voyage Overview

The French Schooner, Levrette, left Nantes 19 August 1820 and purchased 183 enslaved people from an unspecified port in the Bight of Benin by 9 November 1820. The captain, Yves Delécluze, sailed the vessel, owned by Bournichon (Père et Fils), toward Cuba as intended, when it likely landed at Nuevitas on 15 December 1820. Only 160 people survived the Middle Passage. For more information, see Map of 1820.
